Location: San Jose, CA

 


MUST BE US CITIZEN. SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION.

Responsibilities:
  • Review requirements and design specifications to ensure a complete understanding of what needs to be tested.
  • Identify and provide feedback on any requirements or design ambiguity.
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
  • Develop SQL scripts for automated testing.
  • Develop/modify/review Functions, Packages, Procedures, and Views to support automated testing.
  • Identify and report on the root causes of any discrepancies.
  • Identify and document areas of improvement for the QA process and overall project processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Languages: SQL, PL-SQL
  • Databases: Oracle
  • Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to work with complexity
  • Ability to act independently based on incomplete information and competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Additional desired Skills:
    • Exposure to database ETL
    • Exposure to software developments and ability to work seamlessly with developers
    • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux
    • Understanding of agile and traditional (waterfall) software development environments
