SQL DBA

 
Location: Herndon, VA

 


MUST BE US CITIZEN. SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION.

Function:

SQL operations DBA with experience in report writing, performance tuning, ETL, and deployments.

Responsibilities:
  • Support with clustered database environments
  • Monitor database environments. Proactively identify and prevent incidents.
  • Supported application release deployments
  • Perform SQL tuning and evaluate database metrics
  • Analyze ETL processes and evaluate performance improvements
  • Prepare weekly activity report
  • Maintain existing reports
  • Prepare new customer reports
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with MS SQL 2012 or later
  • Experience MS SQL technologies including SSIS, SSRS
  • Security + certification
  • Experience with creating and editing SQL based reports
  • Experience with automated email and encryption options such as with Encryption Wizard
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft technologies (ASP .NET, MVC web services, REST, Web API, WPF)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ASP 4.5 Framework
  • Demonstrated training in secure coding practices
  • Relevant experience would include working with HP Fortify
  • Relevant experience with MS ALM Suite of products such as TFS
  • Relevant experience working with CM tools such HP ALM and JIRA
  • Understanding of DevOps and working with continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Candidates with MS certifications would be a preferred
